Tim the Robot Wizard
We need your support in getting this book out at such a critical time. A portion of every book sold will go toward The Fortress Initiative, a 501C3 non-profit dedicated to making sure that people do not get left behind by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. When faced with an uncertain future in a time of massive disruption, it’s never been more critical that we make sure nobody gets left behind. Hoping that you’ll support this incredible initiative and support Tim in getting the word out about robotics, artificial intelligence and all the amazing things that are happening in the world of technology right now.

From Chat GPT to the rise of generative AI and rapidly adapting robotics, it's never been more critical that we make sure that nobody gets left behind.
The first time I met Tim was at the end of 2019 at the launch of the Artemis Initiative. It was a partnership between the Fortress Academy York Exponential my company and Goodwill of Missouri and Kansas. It was the first time that a workforcement program was implemented to make sure that people don’t get left behind in the age of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
I remember it vividly. We were at a Goodwill event where I was speaking to senators, CEO’s and community leaders in Kansas City, trying to convince them to support initiatives to make sure everyone had an opportunity to benefit from advancing and emerging technologies like robotics and AI. Tim had actually spent a couple days learning all about robotics and artificial intelligence and he actually had a chance to learn how to program robots and was teaching other people all about them.
As the event was wrapping up Tim had figured out how to control a small 2 wheeled robot called Rex, with voice and hand gesture commands. He had this robot follow him all around until at one point, Tim threw his hands in the air and he exclaimed “I am Tim the robot Wizard!”. And so this book was born.
The story of Tim the Robot Wizard is based on the true story of how Tim and John McElligott, CEO of York Exponential became friends at that event in Kansas City, and the discussions John and Tim had around how robots should be used to help people. The story follows Tim and Johnny Robotics traveling the globe and then the galaxy, seeing how robots should be used to help everyone. We get one chance to get this right. We need to be focused not just on new technologies but, for the first time, “Responsible Disruption”.
Utilizing an AI to help illustrate the book, John trained an AI very early in it’s development, making sure that rather than mimicking any particular artist, it had its own distinct style. We call this style “Early AI”. In fact, the AI only made images like this for a small, few week period, never to duplicate it again.

It’s never been more critical that we make sure nobody gets left behind. If you are interested in learning why this is so important, check out a keynote that John gave to a recent coporation trying to navigate a disruptive future.
Here is another keynote presentation that John gave to high school students in Greenwood, South Carolina on the same ideas, but tailored to the impacts and actions for this audience.
Time is running out, we need to act now!
